“Donna supports a positive economic environment for women workers and business owners, American job creation, fair pay, a fair minimum-wage, family-friendly workplaces, access to affordable/quality healthcare and birth control, policies that support a vibrant middle class and access to capital and federal contracts for women-owned firms,” continues Dorfman.

“Donna McAleer understands that the women in her district are facing significant pay equity problems,” adds Dorfman. “McAleer believes that our leaders must advocate for equal pay for equal work. She is also committed to the importance of sustainable living wages,” says Dorfman. Donna McAleer stated, “Raising the minimum wage would not only benefit those making the minimum wage, but it would help our children by raising families out of poverty and would benefit our entire economy by increasing consumer spending and creating jobs.”

“Donna is also committed to assuring women in business have the access to capital and federal contracts they need to grow their businesses,” continues Dorfman.  “McAleer has committed to ensuring that Social Security and Medicare benefits seniors earned and paid for with a lifetime of work are funded and not cut promising, ‘I will keep the promise we made to our seniors’,” adds Dorfman.

“Growing the number of strong women leaders in Congress is critical to assuring that women’s economic priorities are advanced,” adds Dorfman. “American prosperity is directly linked to the economic success of women. Seventy percent of women work and seventy-two percent of mothers work. A record forty percent of all households with children under eighteen include mothers who are either the sole or primary source of income for their family. Women own 73,000 Utah firms employing more than 60,000 workers,” continues Dorfman.

“Donna McAleer’s life experiences as a West Point and MBA graduate, platoon leader, business and community leader and national appointee to the Defense Advisory Council for Women in the Service have prepared her to be a great congresswoman for Utah and America,” adds Dorfman. “She will work strongly, smartly and collaboratively to deliver real solutions for America’s challenges. The U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse Donna McAleer for election to Congress.”
